Our Commitment

BetMetrics is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

We aim to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard referenced by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA).

What We've Done

· Skip-to-content link on every page (WCAG 2.4.1)
· Visible focus indicator on every interactive element (WCAG 2.4.7)
· Semantic HTML landmarks: <header> <nav> <main> <footer>
· ARIA labels and roles on icon-only buttons, forms, and dynamic regions
· Touch target sizes ≥ 44×44 pixels on mobile interactive elements
· Respect for the prefers-reduced-motion system setting
· Form fields paired with proper <label> associations
· Color is never the only signal — active states use underline + bold + color
· Page language declared via <html lang="en">
· External links flagged with screen-reader-only "opens in new tab" hints

Known Limitations

We are aware of and actively working to address the following:

Some informational copy uses muted-text styling that may fall short of the 4.5:1 contrast threshold required for body text. We're increasing contrast page by page.
The featured-game cycle on the homepage hero auto-rotates every 8 seconds. A pause control is on the roadmap; in the interim, tapping any cycle indicator manually advances and the cycle respects prefers-reduced-motion.
Live odds updates inject new content without an aria-live announcement; a screen-reader-friendly announcement region is being added.

· Keyboard-only navigation across Chrome, Firefox, Safari
· Lighthouse accessibility audits in CI
